Spring Break in Branson MO 2015
WHAT TO DO
- SILVER DOLLAR CITY. Once the frost fades away, Silver Dollar City will open its doors for the 2015 season. This 1880s-themed amusement park features awesome roller coasters, delicious food, exciting festivals (World-Fest begins on April 9), and even a marvelous cave. The park reopens on March 14, 2015.
- GOLFING. Ready to hit the greens? Check out Branson’s premier golf courses, which are nestled into the gorgeous Ozark hills, as well as the quick and fun mini golf courses. And if you want to feel like a pro, stop by Top of the Rock or Buffalo Ridge, where the Bass Pro Legends at Big Cedar Tournament will be held on April 22-26, 2015.
- BOATING. Although the water might be a bit cold for swimming, you could certainly take a boat out on Table Rock Lake or Lake Taneycomo. Whether you’re interested in fishing, exploring the lakes, or just a lazy day on the water with friends, be sure to explore the boat rentals and marinas.
- LIVE SHOWS. We can’t talk about Branson’s attractions without mentioning the great variety of live entertainment options. Rock concerts, magic shows, comedians, piano bars, acrobats—we’ve got it all! Plus, new shows are opening all the time, so you’re sure to find one that suits your fancy.
- HIKING, HORSEBACK RIDING, & ZIPLINING. If the weather’s nice, take advantage of Branson’s beautiful scenery with an outdoor activity. You could fly through the trees on a zipline, hike around the lakes, or trek through the hills on horseback. Whichever way you choose to explore the great outdoors, you’re sure to enjoy the growth and greenness of springtime in Branson.
- THE CASINO. If you’re feeling lucky, drive up to Downstream Casino. Located in Quapaw, Oklahoma (which is about two hours away), Downstream has all of the traditional features of a casino (gaming floor, slots, poker, etc.), but there are also delectable dining options and a golf resort for those not interested in gambling.
- INDOOR ATTRACTIONS. Bad weather in the forecast? No problem! You could check out Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, the Titanic Museum, or the Butterfly Palace, which are all family friendly and perfect for a rainy day.
