Table Rock is one of the cleanest public lakes in Missouri, and you’ll often find people boating, skiing, and fishing here when the weather is nice. It has 850 miles of unspoiled shoreline and amongst the variety of coves, you’ll find that some are more wild and others are quiet and safe for those who wish to fish and ski. Lake Taneycomo, on the other hand, is known for its trout fishing reservoirs. Over 700,000 trout are released into the lake each year, making it a fantastic place for trout fishing. It is colder than Table Rock and not as well suited to skiing or swimming.

Plus, if you’re hungry, you can stop by their Floating Cafe for hamburgers, fries, seafood, salads, and other tasty treats.
Scotty’s Trout Dock and Marina (Taneycomo)
Conveniently located near the Branson Landing, Scotty’s offers boat rentals, fishing information, supplies like bait and tackle, and useful guides. Their boat offerings include Pontoons, Bass Boats, Fishing Boats (Big Jons), and Recreational Boats (Duracraft). If you’re new to fishing, you might want to sign up for a guided trip. Your guide will provide bait and tackle, fishing equipment, the boat, and fuel, and you’ll get to learn more about fishing techniques and Lake Taneycomo.
