Where to Relax in Branson
A Cooking Class at Silver Dollar City
Silver Dollar City is an 1880s-themed amusement park located in the beautiful Ozarks. Beyond riding the thrilling roller coasters, guests can observe demonstrating craftsmen, enjoy delicious food, and even take a tour of the marvelous Marvel Cave. However, one thing we bet you didn’t know is that you can take a cooking class at Silver Dollar City! Silver Dollar City’s Culinary Craft School is set in a beautiful, turn-of-the-century farmhouse. Participants learn how to cook traditional Midwest Living dishes, perfect the art of flawless flaky pie crust, and are even taught the intricate details of a Downton Abbey-style tea party! The class runs for about an hour and only costs $15.00 per person.
Curling Vine Winery
Missouri’s oldest winery, Stone Hill (which was established in 1847 in Hermann) has a location in Branson, which was rebranded to the name Curling Vine Winery last year. Stop by to enjoy a calm afternoon sipping wine and touring the winery. Tours are complimentary and available daily, year-round. The winery is also family friendly and provides grape juice for kids, so the whole family can enjoy a little taste of what Stone Hill Winery cooks up.
If you could use a day relaxing in the sand and water, Moonshine Beach is the perfect place for you! As the only public sand beach that overlooks Table Rock Lake, Moonshine Beach is a great place to lay a blanket out and read a book, take the kids out for a day of swimming and lake activities, or enjoy a long walk and a magnificent view of the vast fresh waters. Moonshine Beach offers many amenities, including picnic areas, grills, a volleyball court, a playground, and a food vendor. It only costs a minimum of $5.00 to get in, and it’s a great place to spend a few hours or a whole day out with the family.
Branson Hills Golf Club
Branson Hills Golf Club is a golf course known for its beautiful scenery – so beautiful, in fact, that the venue hosts weddings. The course itself has sights that make the design unique to other golf courses, including natural rock outcroppings, waterfalls, creeks, and wooded areas. Spend a day out on the course and play a round at your own pace, then enjoy a delicious meal at the Magnolia Grille. Whether you’re new to golf or a seasoned player, be sure and check out the rich landscape at Branson Hills Golf Club.
If you’re unsure of where to relax in Branson and could use a day of pampering, Spa 02 is sure to knock your socks off! While Spa 02 offers massages, facials, and body wraps, you’ll definitely want to check out their signature oxygen bar that allows you to choose from at least six different aromatherapy options including lemongrass, vanilla, orange, lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus. They also offer various spa package options, which make great gifts for the people in your life who could use a vacation just as much as you.
If you could use a relaxing day doing a little shopping, dining, and sight-seeing at your own leisurely pace, be sure and visit Branson Landing. Branson Landing is a unique outdoor shopping mall with stores stretching down a boardwalk along the Lake Taneycomo lakefront. Spend the day hopping from store to store, and then, for a unique dining experience, check out Bass Pro’s White River Fish House – a floating restaurant on the lake that was recently voted “best overall restaurant in Branson” by 417 Magazine! After a day spent shopping and enjoying fine cuisine, you can lay out a blanket and enjoy Branson Landing’s signature fountain light show. The extravagant show plays every hour from noon until 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and from noon until 9:00 pm on Sundays.
