Summer is bolting past at a breakneck speed! Before it fades into fall, be sure to stop by the Star-Spangled Summer at Silver Dollar City. This patriotic celebration ends on July 19th (making way for Moonlight Madness), so you better hurry on down to Branson if you want to enjoy all of the entertaining attractions that are here for a limited time. To help you decide if it’s worth your while (or if you should wait for another of the park’s engaging festivals), today we’re discussing all of the performers and events at this year’s Star-Spangled Summer.

The Harlem Globetrotters
The world-famous Globetrotters are sharing their trademark tricks and humor with the guests of Silver Dollar City this summer. The Globetrotter Experience will be performed daily (omitting Wednesdays) at 11:30am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm, and your admission to the show is included with your park ticket or season pass. Plus, after the show, the Globetrotters will host a 30-minute meet-and-greet to sign autographs, take photos, and say hello to their fans.
Wacky Science with Professior David Willey
There’s a reason why so many kids adore science class. In fact, there are many reasons! The wondrous discoveries, the exciting experiments, the inclusion of smoke and fire . . . What’s not to love? Adults and children alike will adore physicist David Willey’s wacky and educational science show. Appearing on Jay Leno 20 times and currently a World Record holder, Professor Willey is sure to impress. Check out his show at the Riverfront Playhouse from Wednesday to Monday.
Character Meet-and-Greets and Breakfasts
Your children’s favorite cartoon characters will be hanging around Silver Dollar City this summer. Say hello to Tom & Jerry (July 9-11) and the Backyardigans (July 16-18) during the Star-Spangled Summer. Scooby & Shaggy (July 23-25) and Dora & Diego (July 30-August 1) will stop by soon after. The characters will congregate at the Carousel Barn, and you can also join them for breakfast at 9am on Saturdays.
Storytelling at Half Dollar Holler
Through August 2nd, the Storybook Circle at Half Dollar Holler will welcome kids to listen to 10-minute, entertaining tales. This event will occur three times each day at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm. Stop by for a quick story to spark your child’s imagination.
Kids Play Zone
For the summer only, the Frisco Freight Co. Barn has been transformed into a kids play zone and toy wonderland. There will be cookie decorating, tie dye, spin art tees, frisbee design, and sand art. Children who love to “play pretend” will adore the cooking, cleaning, grilling, and grocery items, and kids who love to play outside will find something to do amongst the driveway tennis, basketball goals, and horseshoes. Finally, you’ll find a variety of toys and apparel for purchase, including Crayola products, Tonka trucks, Tinker Toys, Harlem Globetrotters gear, and more.
