Spring Break is just around the corner for so many high school and college students here in the sprawling Midwestern U.S. And there’s no better all-encompassing Spring Break destination than Branson, Missouri! Over the past year, countless travelers have come to wholeheartedly comprehend that Branson is so much more than “just” an entertainment mecca. Thus, Spring Breakers can naturally combine several hours of outdoor recreation with an afternoon at the world-famous Silver Dollar City, one of the country’s most beloved amusement parks. Start and finish each day inside one of Branson Vacation Rentals’ finest condos, such as this conveniently-located beauty.
Shriek-Tastic Fun at Silver Dollar City (and More!)
We’re proud to manage a great selection of Silver Dollar City cabins and condos, all of which are within a couple of miles of this classic yet extravagant amusement park. You’re never too old to relish a full day of laughs, shrieks, and mmm-inducing eats and treats. Silver Dollar City is known for its award-winning theme park, which reopens just in time for Spring Break on March 17. Splash down Mystic River Falls, brave the FireFall, spin around the Time Traveler, and explore Birdie’s Cabin before meeting some of the most gifted craftspeople on the planet.
Other nearby attractions worth visiting include the four-story Heavy Metal High Rise, Fritz’s Adventure (an 80,000-square-foot complex), Branson’s 150-foot-tall Ferris Wheel, and The Escape Branson. Looking for more indoor activities? Please read about our five favorite springtime pursuits.
Explore the Great Outdoors
There’s ample wilderness surrounding this lively White River city, especially inside Table Rock State Park, the serene Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, and the oft-overlooked, 140-acre Lake Forest Wilderness Area. Popular hiking trails include the scenic Ridgetop Loop, the expansive White River Trail System (great for fat biking), and the peaceful Roark Creek Waterfall Trail. We also highly recommend horseback riding to Spring Breakers as availability typically dries up in the summer months (and fall). Walnut Shades’ Bear Creek Trail Rides is the best riding experience near Branson. Although, Dogwood Canyon’s guided tours pair flawlessly with a full day of hiking, picnicking, and mountain biking. Other popular Spring Break activities include zipline canopy tours, fly fishing, and ATVing.
