Silver Dollar City Food

March 19, 2014 / Alex Scranton / Branson Attractions

In honor of Silver Dollar City opening last week for the 2014 season, we’ve been sharing tips for a fun trip to the theme park all month long. We started with our favorite rides, offering up options for children and families as well as adventurous daredevils. Then, last week we shared some basic Silver Dollar City tips so that you would know what to bring, what to wear, and what to do when you visited Branson’s favorite 1880s theme park. Finally, today we’re going to round out this little series by talking about Silver Dollar City food. Especially if you’re traveling with a big group, you know how frustrating it can be when people become fussy and hungry after a long day at a theme park. So before you go, check out your Silver Dollar City food options and make a basic plan for your day’s meals.

Silver Dollar City Food

First, I’d like to mention that Silver Dollar City, despite being an 1880s-themed park, does cater to modern guests with traditional amusement park concessions. You’ll find funnel cakes, kettle corn, pretzels, ice cream, cotton candy, nachos, and hot dogs throughout the park at small concession stands.

Next, let’s talk about the larger restaurants and food stands. As you’ll see, some of them stick to traditional 1880s Ozarks fare, while others dip into modern favorites:

– – – – –

ANNIE’S SHACK serves pulled pork sandwiches, smoked sausage sandwiches, baked beans, and slow-roasted turkey legs.

BUCKSHOT ANNIE’S SKILLET COOKERY serves skillet meals. The Family Feud Skillet contains corn, yellow squash, okra, peppers, onions, and chicken. The Harvest Skillet contains green and yellow string beans, carrots, potatoes, and ham.

CROSSROADS PIZZA serves pizza, calzones, sandwiches, and salads. It’s one of the newest Silver Dollar City food options (and one of my favorites!).

DOCKSIDE GRILL serves philly sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers, and chicken strips.

ELMER’S HOT DOGS AND NACHOS and FRANK’S HOT DOGS AND NACHOS both serve (you guessed it!) hot dogs and nachos. They also sell chips and cookies.

EVA & DELILAH’S BAKERY serves a wide assortment of bakery items including eclairs, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, fruit turnovers, cookies, cupcakes, pretzels, and artisan bread. All of the bakery items are baked fresh each day. They also have cheese sticks, hot breakfast sandwiches, and kolacky.

FLOSSIE’S FRIED FANCIES serves chicken tenders, corn dogs, french fries, and funnel cake.

HANNAH’S ICE CREAM FACTORY serves ice cream, shakes, old-fashioned floats, and banana splits.

HATFIELD’S TATER PATCH serves fried potatoes, sandwiches, chicken strips, french fries, chili cheese fries, and pork tenderloin.

LADY LIBERTY DINING PAVILION serves hamburgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken strips, nachos, french fries, pretzels, popcorn, and cookies.

LUCKY SILVER MINE RESTAURANT serves a barbecue buffet that includes classics like beef brisket, barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. There is also a salad bar and desserts.

LUMBERCAMP RESTAURANT serves a variety of hamburgers, pork tenderloins, chicken tenders, grilled chicken, fries, onion rings, deep-fried pickles, and garden salads.

LUMBERCAMP FALLS SKILLET serves skillet meals. The Sausage Medley Skillet includes smoked sausage, potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and corn. The Campfire Skillet includes grilled chicken, smoked sausage, potatoes, string beans, and carrots.

MARY’S SPRINGHOUSE serves fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken tenders, spaghetti, and salads.

MOLLY’S MILL RESTAURANT serves a fried chicken buffet that includes fried chicken (of course), catfish, potatoes, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, assorted vegetables, and sourdough bread. Molly’s also has a breakfast buffet each morning with classics like pancakes, biscuits, gravy, grits, fruit, eggs, bacon, ham, and sausage.

POKE SALAD MARY’S serves sandwiches, wraps, salads, baked beans, and chips.

RIVERSIDE RIBHOUSE serves sandwiches, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, cole slaw, fries, baked beans, and cakes.

WAGON WORKS GRILL serves hamburgers, turkey legs, barbecue chicken, chicken tenders, smoked sausage, baked beans, french fries, and garden salads.

TOMORROW SAWYER’S HANDMADE PRETZELS serves traditional pretzels, pretzel dogs, cinnamon sugar pretzels, dipping sauces, and cookies.

Whew! So much Silver Dollar City food, so little time. If you love barbecue, you might also be interested in the House of Barbecue that pops up each summer during the Bluegrass and BBQ Festival. There, you’ll find barbecue sandwiches, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs, salads, beans, rolls, and more. Or if your culinary cravings are a little more worldly, stop by during The Festival of Wonder for the Tastes of the World menu, which features items like Caribbean nachos, Greek salad, chicken cordon bleu, Korean tacos, Polynesian calzones, bratwurst, crepes, and chicken yakisoba.

Finally, if these Silver Dollar City food options aren’t tempting your tastebuds, or if you’re concerned about prices or specific dietary restrictions, remember that you can always pack your own food and drinks to bring inside the park. And if you’re worried about food allergies and contamination, check out the Silver Dollar City food webpage to find out which restaurants cater to special dietary needs.

I hope that by checking out your food options beforehand, you can avoid making a hungry, rushed decision when you visit the theme park. Have a great time at Silver Dollar City and bon appétit!
