Ziplines in Branson

happy family going zip line

There are many ways to take advantage of a beautiful day in Branson. You could boat at Table Rock Lake, go horseback riding, try geocaching, stick your feet in the sand on Moonshine Beach, fish for trout on Lake Taneycomo, enjoy a day in the water at White Water, picnic at a park, and on and on the list goes . . . However, one of the best ways to enjoy both the nice weather and the beautiful scenery is to check out ziplines in Branson. You can breeze through the trees, admire the Ozark Mountains, savor the wind in your hair, and take in the amazing views. For help selecting from amongst the many ziplines in Branson, review your options below.

Ziplines in Branson

Adventure Ziplines of Branson

Featuring seven exciting ziplines that reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour, three swinging rope bridges, and ATV rides, Adventure Ziplines of Branson is perfect for anyone seeking variety. The zipline tour, led by one of the company’s fun and qualified guides, takes about two hours to complete. For a unique (and dark) adventure, try the Zip at Night event, which occurs from about mid-June to mid-August. Adventure Ziplines is located behind Tanger Outlets, making it especially convenient for those who would also like to squeeze some bargain shipping into their day. RSVP early to be sure you get a spot on the zipline tour.

Branson Zipline Canopy Tours

Branson Zipline’s top-notch tours will zip you through the tree canopy. There are three options: the Flying Prospector (4 ziplines, 7 sky bridges, up to 1.5 hours), the Ozarks Xplorer (7 ziplines, 10 sky bridges, up to 2.5 hours), and the Canopy Adventure Combo (8 ziplines, 10 sky bridges, 1 freefall, up to 3.5 hours). Again, we recommend reserving your spot early due to limited availability.

Indian Point Zipline

With six ziplines that zoom through more than 2,700 feet of forest, Indian Point Zipline is a fantastic family attraction. In fact, it has a 4.5-star rating on Tripadvisor.com! The guides are kind, professional, and lots of fun. To get a great deal at Indian Point Zipline, check out Groupon.

Vigilante Extreme ZipRider

Located at Inspiration Tour at the Shepherd of the Hills, Vigilante Extreme ZipRider is the first ZipRider to launch from a pre-existing tower. After riding up two glass elevators to the open-air observation deck of the tower, you will fly across the 160-acre homestead at 50mph on the ZipRider. There is an automatic braking system, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. No matter what your age, you’re sure to enjoy the amazing views offered by Inspiration Tower and Vigilante Extreme ZipRider. After your trip, a tram will pack you up at the landing pad and drive you back to Inspiration Tower.

Zip Line USA

Located just 14 miles northeast of Branson in Reeds Spring, Missouri, Zip Line USA offers zipline tours to individuals, groups, companies, and families. You’ll get a thrilling bird’s eye view of the Ozark Mountains as you soar above the forest floor. The Ridgerunner Zipline Tour traverses two miles and consists of nine ziplines. It takes between 90 minutes and two hours to complete, and groups can receive a discount if they book a tour in advance.

Because there are no towers to climb and a bus delivers participants to the top of the course, this zipline attraction is very convenient for most participants, no matter what their age or fitness level. In addition, you can easily control your speed while zipping without fear of whiplash.

Similar Alternatives

If you’re interested in ziplines in Branson, you may want to check out these very similar alternatives. They also offer fantastic views and a rush of adrenaline.

Branson Alpine Mountain Coaster

Although not a zipline tour, this attraction will feature similarly thrilling vantage points of the Branson area. Set to open later this year, the Branson Alpine Mountain Coaster is the first of its kind in the Ozarks. Although alpine coasters have been popular in Europe for many years now, they haven’t gained much attention in the United States. They are gravity-driven amusement rides with bobsled-like cars on a roller coaster-like track. The alpine coaster in Branson will feature many dips, turns, zigs, and zags for an exciting ride through the Ozark Mountains.

Keep an eye out for the Branson Alpine Mountain Coaster this summer, when it is expected to open its doors. You can also keep track of the attraction’s progress and announcements by following its Facebook page.

Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline

Conveniently located at Branson Landing, Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline is perfect for those wanting a quick thrill. It flies across Lake Taneycomo, ending at the outdoor shopping center. No reservations are required, and the zipline has the same opening hours as Branson Landing. Although this isn’t exactly a zipline attraction, it is certainly inspired by ziplines. There are two cables situated side by side, and they each carry a two-seat, open-air car. Guests are carried up, backwards, from Branson Landing, before flying back down again.

Sky Surfer of Branson

Branson’s Sky Surfer has joined forces with Xtreme Racing Center, so that you can hit two birds with one stone. Although this is not a zipline tour, the attraction will let you soar at heights of 50 feet or more at 30 mph. Plus, you can ride in three different ways: standing up on the board, lying down on your stomach, or simply sitting. The quick, panoramic ride offers a great view of the famous 76 strip.

_____

Most of the ziplines in Branson are only open while the weather is warm, from spring until fall, so be sure to check each attraction’s season opening and closing dates as well as their hours and costs. In addition, consider reserving your tour ahead of time to be sure that your chosen zipline company has space to accommodate you. During busy times of the year, like summer weekends, this will be especially important.
