What to Do in Branson in Winter

WINTER SHOWS

As always, Branson is home to a medley of entertaining live shows. There are concerts, comedians, acrobats, variety shows, and more. Below, we’ve listed the shows that are open all year round as well as the shows that will be re-opening in January or February this year. Please note that most shows are only open on weekends.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

SHOPPING. If the weather is too bitter and blustery for outdoor activities, why not do a little shopping? You could visit Branson Landing, Tanger Outlets, or even the classic Branson shop Dick’s Old Time 5 & 10.

ZIPLINES. Missouri is known to have very erratic, sporadic weather. On a warmer day this winter, you might want to try zip-lining your way through the Ozark mountains.

WALKS & HIKES. If you’re willing to bundle up, why not take a long and invigorating walk? You could hike along one of the many trails in Branson, some of which border the lake. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife, including bald eagles!

GOLF & MINI GOLF. Throughout much of the winter, visitors are able to play golf at our challenging and beautiful golf courses. But of course, you can always take it easy at a mini golf course.

EXPLORE A CAVE. Talking Rocks Cavern is open year round for hour-long walking tours. Plus, even deep into the winter months, the temperature remains a comfortable 62 degrees Fahrenheit!

FISHING. Winter is actually one of the best times of the year to go trout fishing! So if you’re wondering what to do in Branson in winter, try renting a boat, grabbing your fishing gear, and heading down to Lake Taneycomo.

WINERIES. What better way to warm up than with a glass of wine? Try sampling local flavors at Branson’s wineries: Stone Hill, Mount Pleasant, and Lindwedel.

RELAX AT YOUR CABIN OR CONDO. Finally, for a truly relaxing vacation, why not unwind at your cozy cabin? You could sip hot cocoa by the fireplace or take a dip in the hot tub! Assuming your accommodations come with a fireplace and hot tub, that is. Speaking of which . . .
