Things to Do in Branson in the Fall

Colorful background of fallen autumn leaves

Nestled into the Ozark Mountains, which are covered in bountiful trees, Branson is inescapably beautiful in the fall. The colorful trees, the rolling hills, the peaceful lakes . . . If you want to enjoy autumn’s beauty in the Midwest, you won’t find a better destination than Branson, Missouri. So today, we would like to explore all of the wonderful things to do in Branson in the fall. The season’s already halfway over, so take advantage of these activities and attractions while you can!

Things to Do in Branson in the Fall

  1. CHECK OUT THE FALL FOLIAGE. Colorful fall leaves never seem to last as long as you’d hope. Before they fall to the ground, consider driving around Branson and the surrounding areas. There are a number of fantastic fall foliage driving and walking tours for you to consider. Or, if you’re feeling a bit daring, try zip-lining through and above the trees.
  2. SPEND SOME TIME AT SILVER DOLLAR CITY. At this time of the year, Silver Dollar City is celebrating its annual National Harvest & Cowboy Festival. Stop by for a wild west show, barn dancing, craftsmen demonstrations, bluegrass musicians, and more. This theme park is fun nearly year-round, but autumn really complements Silver Dollar City’s 1880s theme and rustic charm.
  3. CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY. Branson honors our nation’s veterans each year during Veterans Homecoming WeekThis year, there are a number of exciting events to attend including the Vets for Vets Celebration Show, the Military Ball, several mini-reunions, a parade, a tree dedication, and a closing ceremony.
  4. SHOP THE BIG SALES. Fall brings Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving brings the most anticipated and dreaded shopping day of the year (depending on your perspective): Black Friday. If you want to celebrate this holiday season in style, head to Branson Landing or Tanger Outlets.
  5. ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS. Before winter rears its ugly head, be sure to spend as much time outdoors as you can. The weather will be cool and crisp, and the trees will be bright and beautiful. You could spend an afternoon at one of Branson’s many golf resorts, go horseback riding on the trails that wind through the Ozark Mountains, or go boating or fishing on Table Rock Lake or Lake Taneycomo.
