For details about fishing licenses and regulations, refer to the Missouri Department of Conservation's site. Public lakes require a fishing license, private lakes do not.

Pointe Royale 2BR/BA Condo This condo has onsite access to Lake Taneycomo fishing for rainbow and brown trout. There is nearby boat and equipment rental. Pointe is a great place to fish at because it is a gated community and has limited access to the public. Trout fishing is world famous on Taneycomo and there are several times of the year when they release so the fishing is easy! Swimming is allowed, but cold.

The following properties have private lake access:
Notch Twin 4BR/BA Cabins by Silver Dollar City. Acres of trails right out the back door with a very small private lake and walking dock to explore. No boats, but if you want to fish with the kids or grandkids this is a great place because you don't need a fishing license since it is a private property. There is a 5 minute hike down to the lake and a 15 minute hike back up, so make sure to plan your time. If you want a nice private dock and quiet time, there is no place better.

Private dock down the Notch trail.
